Interise's 2018 Impact Report demonstrates that Interise graduates are significantly more likely to behave strategically to effectively scale and run their businesses once they have graduated from a StreetWise 'MBA' program. The StreetWise MBA teaches concrete skills and behaviors that improve business outcomes, including how to use financial data to make decisions, how to identify and market to the most profitable customers, and how to write and utilize formal growth plans.

Rick Grundy, a 2016 alum, is president of AVTECH Software, which provides data center and IT facility monitoring services for clients including Amazon, Google, the White House, the Pentagon, and the United Nations. Grundy emphasizes the impact of the StreetWise 'MBA' on his business leadership, saying that the structure of the program led him to improve areas of his business that he would not have focused on otherwise - especially maintaining healthy and consistent financial records.

AVTECH continues to use Grundy’s Strategic Growth Action Plan to set, track, and meet business goals. Specifically, Grundy says, ”…the biggest segment of the program that I feel like we benefited from as a company was the finance module… We were able to go deeper in areas that I hadn’t been exposed to previously.” During StreetWise MBA classes on finances, guest experts share metrics and key indicators that business owners can use to assess the health of their companies, and Grundy explains that, “those
[metrics] are all things that we really absorbed and now … We’re tracking those on a monthly basis and that really started with some of those modules.”\

The StreetWise MBA supports business owners to build the capacity necessasry to keep track of all aspects of their companies. These behaviors allow owners to set good goals, look for solutions to problems before they grow, and scale successfully. The 2018 Impact Report shows that the new behaviors turn into habits, leading to long-term, sustainable business practices.
